Tajani's Healthcare Plan: "We need a major change in healthcare."

"We will present our strategic healthcare plan to ministers, party secretaries, and all political forces. A major reform is needed; we are opening a debate today with concrete proposals." This was stated by Antonio Tajani, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and National Secretary of Forza Italia, at the Forza Italia press conference in the Chamber of Deputies on the revitalization of the National Health Service and the summer campaign for visits to Italian hospitals.
"This is the most important initiative that Forza Italia will undertake during the summer season. It will involve all our parliamentarians and local leaders, focusing on the health issue that most concerns Italians," said Forza Italia Secretary Antonio Tajani, speaking of his party's initiative on healthcare. " We will present a strategic plan . We will shine a spotlight on everything related to healthcare," he added, emphasizing the "need for more doctors and nurses." "We need to bring about a major change in our country. Some things have already been done," he continued.
"There is a fundamental issue: community medicine to reduce the burden on hospitals and emergency rooms. People who don't need to go to the hospital shouldn't go to the hospital," he emphasized, presenting FI's strategic plan for the NHS. "Ours," Tajani continued, "is a ' strategic plan' for the public health service with 11 points: from the reform of general practice to the control of waiting lists and the reduction of emergency room congestion, to the prevention of violence and the protection of healthcare workers, including facilitated pathways for high-incidence and chronic conditions. Furthermore: greater integration between hospitals and the community with the goal of increasing the number of hospital beds by 50,000-100,000; the hiring of 10,000 doctors and 20,000 nurses; and the introduction of the crime of assault on a public service worker for healthcare workers."
